Do your prices include everything?

Yes they do! When you receive a quotation, that price includes absolutely everything! - 2 cameras (plus a backup camera), radio mics, travel expenses, the final copies of your DVD / Bluray, motion menus, extra scenes, video messages, honeymoon snaps slideshow - absolutely everything you’ll need to receive a perfect wedding day film. We do however offer several optional extras to enhance your package - pricing for these is available on request.

Do you offer safeguards?

Booking a Videographer & Photographer can be a little worrying, with many being ‘One man bands’, with no safeguards against anything going wrong - how do you know whether everything will be OK?

Willowscroft Ltd. (trading as WeddingHD) is a reputable business, we publish our business address and telephone numbers on our contact page and as a Limited company we are required by law to be adequately insured against Public Liability etc. We are also members of the Institute of Videography, and as such have a responsibility to abide by their code of practice - a copy of which can be viewed here. As an IOV member, you can be assured that weddingHD is committed to quality, uses safe working practices and you have access to an arbitration service should any unfortunate circumstance arise.

Do I need a wedding DVD?

If you’re reading this, then you’ve probably already decided that you want to have your wedding day filmed. However if you or your partner are undecided, take a look at our Video Testimonials page & see for yourself why photographs on their own are never enough!

With the average UK wedding costing upwards of £18,000 it’s often a temptation to try to save money by not have your wedding day filmed, however don’t forget thatfor the rest of your lives, you will have a certificate, 2 Rings and a Photo Album to remember you day - you won’t be able to watch your vows, you won’t be able to listen to the speeches, you won’t be able to see the flow of the dress during the first dance or the veil fluttering in the wind! We’re often told by people who didn’t have their day filmed that it was their biggest regret!

My friend has a camcorder!

'My friend has a camcorder & has offered to film our wedding!' is one of the most common things we hear at wedding fayres.

Now that’s a great & generous offer, but don't you also have a friend who has a pocket digital camera?, would you ask them to take your official Wedding Photos? - probably not!

You are not the cheapest quote we’ve had!

We genuinely believe that we offer the best value for money of any 'full quality' Wedding DVD service available - many companies offering a similar level of service to us, literally charge double our prices!.

There are companies that charge far less, but they normally only offer 1 camera, very little or substandard editing (single shots lasting several minutes at a time), no colour grading & offer what we feel is an unprofessional service.

As with many things in life - you unfortunately get what you pay for. It's your big day, please don't spoil your memory of it by choosing a videographer simply on price alone.

We have heard horror stories of people getting their DVD's back with shots of the floor, in-audible sound during the ceremony, 'blair-witch' style shaky camera work, and we once even heard of a videographer who didn't film the speeches, saying 'they're not important'.

How long until my DVD will be ready?

We aim to supply the finished 'proof copy' DVD well within 8 weeks of your wedding day (often much much sooner!). Although this may seem like a long time, please bear in mind that each production has to go through painstaking and extensive editing, DVD/Bluray authoring, packaging design processes, disc checking & any re-editing.

Why are you different?

We try to make all of our Wedding DVD's fun, exiting & easy to watch. We feel that this gives them the 're-watchability' factor.

The traditional Wedding Video/DVD that you may have seen normally comes in a padded case, has titles with swirly writing, continuous slow motion shots, lots of soft focus, fixed camera positions for minutes on end, the list goes on! They are normally 3 hour epics, with little or no editing (other than stringing the shots together), and you will probably watch it a couple of times, & then it will end up on the shelf for months at a time!

Our unique style, uses contemporary packaging & titling (produced by a graphic design house), upbeat editing techniques and dynamic camera positioning. We DO use slow motion, but sparingly - to enhance & build on the moment, to take you on an emotional journey that you'll want to watch again & again!

Our DVDs are normally about 1 hour long for civil ceremonies & 1 1/2 hours for church weddings, so watching them is always exhilerating and never tiresome!

Our High Definition service was launched early 2008 & for the technically minded, we shoot and edit in 1080i HD video for exceptional quality results, however please note that supply of weddings BD’s (Blu-ray Discs) is subject to player compatibility.
